Shock absorber buffer

Silentflex > Rubber-metal vibration supports > Shock absorber buffer
Description of the vibration support

Buffer shock absorber can be made of rubber and metal or only from rubber. It is possible to choose the type of rubber in accordance with the features of further operation of the buffer (for example, if resistance to chemicals and extreme temperatures is required).

The metal parts of the shock absorber undergo special anti-corrosion treatment. We can produce a rubber elastomer of a certain hardness level, suitable for the intended buffer load for maximum effective absorption of vibration when the equipment is hit.

Buffer shock absorber is used toreduce noise and absorb a large amount of kinetic energy released during impacts, thus reducing the load and forces that have a negative impact on the equipment or structure that is being hit. The buffer is also used as a vibration support for production equipment with or without height adjustment.

Rubber buffers prevent material wear, thereby helping to avoid unforeseen breakdowns and equipment downtime, sudden production stoppage (unlike hard buffers, which are noisier, wear out faster and, as a result, cause damage to the equipment).

Anti-vibration buffers can be used in overhead cranes, soil sifters, loading hopper feeders, vibrating tables. As a non-rigid stop, it serves to limit movements and shifts in vehicles, office equipment, which is not attached to a low-rigidity surface.

The main characteristics of the Silentflex® buffer shock absorber:

  • Two models: rubber + metal / rubber only;
  • The ability to choose the type of rubber and its hardness;
  • Anti-corrosion treatment;
  • Huge range of withstand loads;
  • Wide model range: various shapes, sizes and equipment;
  • Prevention of premature wear of the material;
  • Numerous applications.
