Description of the vibration support

Cylindrical rubber damper Silentflex® consists of a cylindrical rubber element to which metal plates of cylindrical shape are also attached on both sides. If the anti-vibration support is used as a stop, then the metal plate is attached only on one side.

 

The vibration support works for compression (in the axial direction), for shear (in the radial direction) and for compression-shift (depending on the installation). The operation of this shear shock absorber provides excellent vibration isolation, provided that the radial load is not too large. If greater elasticity is required in all directions, it is recommended to use a vibration support with a rubber element in the form of a Diabolo (hourglass).

 

Cylindrical rubber damper has 5 mounting options:

  1. Threaded hole on one side;
  2. Threaded stud on one side, threaded hole on the other;
  3. Threaded stud on both sides;
  4. Threaded hole on both sides;
  5. Threaded stud on one side.

 

Cylindrical dampers are often installed in cargo sifters, loading hopper feeders, vibrating tables, motors, electrical panels and measuring instruments. It is also allowed to use them in engine fans, motor pumps, generator sets and other equipment.
